Twice a year, every “Renovian” meets up with the entire company to eat, play, visit, and hear the latest updates on all aspects of the company from the executive leaders. This year, attendees included those based in Palm Desert as well as those who traveled from Renova’s Arizona location.
It’s a chance to reconnect, but also an opportunity to support local vendors, as there were 327 people to feed and reward with prizes. At this Spring Biannual Conference, team members were treated to food from Palm Desert’s Fresh Agave and RedDawgs Corn and Dawgs out of Anza. SlushLife of Coachella provided slushies and other treats.
Prize drawings included a family four-pack to The Living Desert, a gift card to El Charro Cafe in Tucson, tickets to Pepe Aguilar at Acrisure Arena, a family four-pack to Reid Zoo in Tucson, and more.
Reports included the strong start of the Tucson location, with both service and sales off to an impressive beginning, the strong financial standing of the company, the major projects being undertaken in the commercial division, and, of course, the introduction of all the new team members since the last meeting, as well as promotions that have taken place.
“I can remember when our “meeting” was at a local casual restaurant because that’s all we could afford, even though there were only five of us,” Vincent recalled about the company’s early days in 2006. “I’m humbled at the growth and thankful to the desert communities in California and Arizona for embracing us and clean energy as we work to transition the world from pollution and war-causing fossil fuels.”
