How Does Renova Energy’s $500 Referral Program Work?

Renova Energy rewards you with $500 for referring a new solar customer to us, but what should you expect in the process?

As the Coachella Valley solar professionals, Renova Energy receives lots of referrals from current customers, and we love sending a $500 referral fee for residential referrals and $1,000 for commercial referrals as a thank you! But how does the process work, and how long does it take to receive your referral fee?

Step One: Reach Out!

Email us at learnmore@renovaenergy.com with your referral’s first and last name, contact number, and home address, as well as your first and last name. Alternatively, you can fill out this form online to ensure that we collect all the information that we need: CLICK HERE. You can also call (760) 891-5644 and speak to one of our certified Energy Consultants, and provide the same information. You can refer anyone—your neighbor, family members, friends—solar is for everyone, and everyone loves saving with solar energy in the Coachella Valley!

If whoever you refer decides to move forward with commercial or residential solar with Renova Energy, it’s time to start the design, permitting, and installation processes. This can take anywhere between 2 and 6 months. Keep this timeline in mind because it affects when you will receive your referral.

Step Two: Let’s Complete the Installation!

After the brand-new rooftop solar energy system from Renova Energy passes its final inspection, it’s time to start the process of paying you $500!

• Cash: If the person you referred paid for their system in cash, we will begin processing the referral fee after we receive their final payment.
• Leases or Loans: If the person you referred has a lease or loan, we require final documents from SunPower before processing the referral payment.

Then, your referral fee gets approved, and you’re officially in line to get your referral!

Step Three: Timeline to Payday!

If this is your first referral with Renova Energy, one of our Consultant Assistants will reach out to request a W-9 form for our tax purposes. Once the information is provided, expect to see your referral check within two to four weeks after the Coachella Valley solar installation is complete!

If it’s not your first referral with Renova Energy, you should expect to see your referral check within two to four weeks of the installation’s finalization!

What’s the Full Timeline? Our Coachella Valley Solar Experts Explain

From start to finish, you can expect your referral process to take between three and seven months from the very beginning to receive your $500 for residential referrals and around twelve to sixteen months to receive your $1,000 for commercial referrals. The best part? There’s no cap on how many referrals you can make!
