The first commercial site for Renova was in a building with a small warehouse and an office up a flight of rickety stairs, but I was thrilled. We had a few employees, and I was no longer working out of my garage.

I had big dreams and aspirations, but I could not have foreseen that 17 years later, we would be celebrating the grand opening of a 26,000-square-foot, two-story headquarters building that would house everyone but our installation crews just up the street from that first modest location.

More than 400 people joined us, including Congressman Raul Ruiz, Palm Desert Mayor Kathleen Kelly, and Council Members Jan Harnik and Evan Trubee. California Attorney Rob Bonta sent a congratulatory video that included a thank you for the great work we’re doing to help California meet the demand for clean energy. Acknowledgments like this serve as reminders of the impact we’re making, not just locally but on a larger scale.

I know that working together under the same roof will enhance our communication, customer service, and camaraderie. It’s another major milestone as families and businesses continue to choose clean energy and substantial savings with SunPower solar and battery systems. They join the more than 11,000 systems we’ve installed to date, and we continue to expand.

I’m personally so grateful for the support of our community, which has allowed us to employ more than 350 local residents, make this move, and positively impact our economy.

We’ve officially crossed over to a new era in Renova’s history, and I’m genuinely thrilled to see where this path takes us.
